Seemingly Incoherent Gushing 2006/03/17 - 1:22 p.m. It's been quite a while since my last update. I believe Jo referred to my blog as 'festering' didn't she? Ha. I've got a new, budding interest! I'm not too sure what it is yet, though. It's something to do with Macs, and computer scripting. I've decided to try and teach myself how to use the cool script stuff on the computer. (for macs only!) Problem is, I'm so ignorant that I don't even know which script I should start learning. (there're lots of different ones) I'm not interested in those for designing webpages and stuff. ie, Java, CSS, HTML(I know the basics). I'm talking about real scripting here. Who knows? Maybe I'll have my own mini-program out by the end of the year! (I wouldn't bet on it though!) I hear the the Mac is like a developer's heaven! I quote: "Mac OS X is a uniquely powerful development platform, supporting multiple development technologies including UNIX, Java, the proprietary Cocoa and Carbon runtime environments, and a host of open source, web, scripting, database, and development technologies. The built-in Xcode Tools, combined with time-tested stability and performance characteristics, standards-based technologies, and remarkable user interface, make Mac OS X an amazingly multifaceted development platform. The current release, Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, brings developers revolutionary new technologies like Spotlight, Dashboard, Automator, Core Data, Core Image, and many others. These powerful additions to the modern, UNIX-based foundation make Mac OS X Tiger the most advanced operating system available. " Sounds cool, yeah?? X) ...but I seriously don't know where to start. Should I start with Applescript? Or C? Or Cocoa? Or binary stuff? Or Carbon? etc. Gah. I haven't even started, and I'm about to rip out chunks of my hair. Not a good sign. So if any of you have any idea about this sort of stuff(for macs only!), please help!!!!! Oh yeah. If you want to continue reading about the wonderful virtues of the Mac OS X, go there: http://developer.apple.com/macosx/overview.html ...somehow, I doubt anyone'll be interested. Nevermind!!!!! While I'm still talking about Apple, I've decided: Steve Jobs is my idol! My new screensaver shows various quotes by him. Isn't my screensaver just wonderful?? "If you live each day as your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." -Steve Jobs. See why I love Apple? It's all about innovation. If there were a Church of Mac, I'd belong to it. XDD He says funny stuff, inspirational stuff and introspective stuff. He's bounced back from every nasty aspect of his life! Steve Jobs rocks!! And Apple isn't just about technology and innovation; it's about people development. AND it totally owns the mp3 market. X)) Previous
